The Huronia Beekeepers Association promotes education and understanding about beekeeping, sustainable practices, and the importance of honey bees and other pollinators for our environment and food supply. Whether you have an interest in learning about managing honey bees or simply wish to learn more about pollinators in general, we can help.
When and Where?
We meet on the second Thursday of the month from February to November. Meetings are generally from 7:30pm-9:30pm at the Edgar Community Hall. You can checkout our events calendar page for a full schedule on upcoming meetings and events. The Edgar Community Hall is located at 1167 Old Barrie Road West, Shanty Bay.
We usually start with club business followed by a 15 minute info session on a chosen topic. Than we have a quick coffee/tea break. After the break, enjoy a guest speaker, film, or general discussion. Some meetings involve a field trip, auction, or demonstration.
Everyone is welcome! Aspiring to bee, beginners and experience beekeepers.
Visitors may attend up to 2 meetings. Membership is required to attend additional meetings and events.
